کبھی سوچتا ہوں کہ مجھے سوچتى ہوگی وه
پھر سوچتا ہوں کہ یہ کیا سوچتا ہوں میں
ایک عجیب سی کیفیت ہے میری تم بن
رہ بھی لیتا ہوں اور رہا بھی نہیں جاتا
کیسے کرلیتے ہی بے رخیاں
دل نہیں دکھتا تمہارا؟
وہ بہت مختصر رہا مجھ میں
آنکھ کھلنے سے، بند ہونے تک
تیغ بازی کا شوق اپنی جگہ
آپ تو قتل عام کر رہے ہیں
یہ کس طرح کا تعلق ہے آپ کا میرے ساتھ
مجھے ہی چھوڑ کے جانے کا مشورہ میرے ساتھ
شکست کھا کے بھی توہین زندگی نہ ہوئی
ہزار کام ہوۓ, ہم سے خود کشی نہ ہوئی

جو خدا سے آپ کی باتیں کیا کرتا تھا
آج لکھنے کو کُچھ نہیں
بس ایسے سمجھو دل اُداس ہے
تجھے بھولے کوئی ہموار دماغ
تیرے پامال کہاں بھولتے ہیں
نظر کھا گی, ہم دونوں کی محبت کو
روز بات کرنے والے آج خاموش ہیں
رات بہت دیر تلک گفتگو چلی
میرے اور صرف میرے درمیاں
شام ہوتے ہی چراغ کو بُھجا دیتا ہوں
دل ہی کافی ہے تیری یاد میں جلنے کے لیے
تعجب اب نہیں ہوتا کسی کے چھوڑ جانے پہ
جو ہمارے ہوتے ہی نہیں ہیں ْ وہ ساتھ کیا چلیں گے
جذبات پھر وہ نہیں رہتے جو آغاز میں ہوتے ہیں
قدر کھو دیتے ہیں لوگ چیز مل جانے کے بعد
